Washed the engine.. now she wont start?

Hi the idiot I am I washed the engine... only find out afterwards the water can cause damage to a cerain componant in the enginebay... the car does start but every now and then it doesnt...

any ideas?
 
Oh dear, not with a spray hose or pressure washer I hope.

You say it starts evey now and then so did you do it a few days ago?

I've done mine before witha pressure washer and no problem at all
 
Degreaser spray, paint brush and rags... and abit of elbow greese... obviously becareful where you use the spray
 
i start mine and let it run for a few minutes to get a bit of heat into it then degease it and whack it with the pressure washer, never had a problem with a VW or an Audi but the Toyota Celica had some lovely spark plug holes that filled up a treat with water.
