hi all,
i have a 2006 audi A4 convertible.
im getting a yellow warning light intermitently popping up.
its a circle with x3 lines round the edges.
on the google search it seems to be brake pads (which are defo ok just been serviced/MOT)
however, when i click the 'check' button to do a check, it shows that icon along side 'oil' pressure...
can anyone help/advise?
thanks

Brake pads.

Red warning lights mean you should stop the car as soon as it's safe.
Yellow warning lights mean that action is required.
Green warning lights are for information only.

You may find that it has something to do with the wiring for the brake wear sensor. Happened to me last year......I still had loads of meat left on the pads.

Just check to make sure everything is ok though.

Yep as above brake pad warning.

I had this error myself not long after new discs and pads were fitted, it turns out the techs that fitted the new pads routed the pad wear sensor wires incorrectly which caused the wires to be tight pulling the connection apart giving a false warning. All it required to fix the issue was disconnecting the pad wear sensor wires re-routing the wires a reconnecting

Oh and as for your 'check button' that's all it is....it scrolls though various sensors to basically check them. As long as it says OK when it's finished, that's all that matters.

thanks everyone..... must be a faulty wire grrrr... can you reach the wire without taking off the wheels?
