Wanting to P/X my B8.5 to a B8- How reliable is the B8 in comparison?

I have a 2013 B8.5 but would like to chop it in for an all road. That one is an 2009 one though- but well cared for. Are B8's as bad as I have been reading?

 

You do realise they’re the same car? A 11 year old car isn’t going to be perfect.

 

Yep as above they are the same car just a facelift exterior, 10 year old car you want to make sure it's had a clutch and flywheel if it's a diesel and check the MOTs it's been looked after. In my experience the best time to buy is 120K miles, most stuff has broke and been fixed by then.

They're not the same. By the time the facelift happened loads of bugs were ironed out- such as high oil consumption apparently.

 

Well that is true for the 1.8TFSI and 2.0TFSI - but will your Offroad not use diesel ? The other issue you probably read about would be the auto trans - that could/should/might be an issue, but I've never bought an auto trans Audi.

 

I have a B8 TDI and think its probably one of the best cars I have owned
