Waiting for my s1 and looking into A.B.T. Upgrade exhaust

Hi there
Im new here and posted my first tread few days ago
I have placed my order with Northampton dealers.
I was sorting the dots an ts and we were talking about upgrates ie maps an exhaust upgrades
I was told in short terms when the car arrives we have a team that can fit abt exauests to my car for extra grunt etc.

Looking into a.b.t id love the extra sounds to go with my car. But will the car still be covered with the 3 year warranty ? Will only be an exhaust upgrade for now .
I was told small talk by the sales guy i am and he has sorted this for a few customers in the past
But is abt part of audi. ? And how much will it cost and im mostly concerned about breaking the warrenty on the car

Im an ex vxr owner and this happened to me before.

I honestly don't know, the chap at the dealers when I bought mine was recommending mods including a remap, I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be covered for warranty work though

I'd ask the dealer before you buy if the ABT exhaust has any impact on your warranty - normally exhausts that are modded aren't covered but the rest of the OEM Audi equipment should be. As I said, check if you're worried and get it in an email for your records

I will get hold of him this week and if I decide i will get it in writing
But will it void the whole cars warrenty
I had that experience with vx i had the remus upgrade and the whole car got voided

In my experience of owning a brand new Citroen DS3 the exhaust mod only meant that wasn't covered under the warranty. Nothing else was affected as it was viewed like a remap would be, for remaps the manufacturers view them as stressing all parts of the car (rightly or wrongly) and step away from your warranty.

I had my car ABT remapped and ABT wheels at Richter Sport in Milton Keynes. They contacted me when the exhaust came out and asked if I was interested but it was over 2 1/2 grand. Can't justify that. Supersprint and Ragazzon both do better exhausts for less. Or get a remus.

Forgot to say ABT work with Audi in Germany with the DTM cars so that may be why they are doing it. I know superplumb on here got his s1 from, I think, Audi Stafford and they had fitted a load of the ABT goodies including remap.

Had a full remus on my vxr and was fantastic
Is there anywhere in mk or abouts that do fit an stock?
I can get a full remus from what im looking at around £1200

Not sure. I live in Kent. There are suppliers online that stock Supersprint and Ragazzon. I'm tempted because they are Italian made and have no exhaust valve so maximum noise all the time lol.

Yeah sounds like it lol . You won't regret it. I have had mine since January 2015 and I still enjoy jumping in and driving it. The fact that I **** off so many bigger sports cars is a bonus.

Yeah mine was a 5 month wait back then too. Thought things might have speeded up a bit. Makes it feel a bit more special I suppose. At least we know they've not been sitting around in a field for 6 months waiting to be sold.

It is the Cat back non resonated one, there is a little drone but can be reduced by coming out of dynamic so the exhaust valve closes if necessary. The exhaust note is fab especially under full load going up the rev range.
