Hi guys okays so I've got a 2004 A3 2.0 TDI bkd and diagnosed overboost when ran a obd check, long story short taking the turbo off this weekend and was just wondering
A... does mr muscle actually work.
B...how do I flush it off with the turbo off.

Forget mr muscle, its pointless.

You need to strip the turbo & clean the metal back to fix the sticking vanes issue, be very careful not to snap any bolts & use allot of wd40 & leave to soak, undo a little, spray again, do up, undo, follow this process so it doesnt thread or snap.

Dont lose the small risers inside & make sure you refit the vnt mechanism properly.

Failing that, pay me to do it lol.

Okays what's the best thing to clean it with because I'm assuming a wire brush is out of the question lol.

Dremel with wire brushes, I use varied types to complete the job, its not easy or fun tbh.

Nae worries, cheers and yeah cleaning carbon off most dinky parts is never fun lol.
