Greetings, fellow mammals! :)

I have noticed a very rare little stutter, like a momentary skipping of a single beat that interrupts power delivery at 3000 rpm.

It seems to be extremely intermittent, happening maybe just once or twice a week. It could be complete coincidence but it feels like it happens after I've been pottering around at low speeds/low rpm for a while (i.e. due to heavy traffic) and then when I finally get a bit of clear road, the smooth power delivery just hiccups ever so slightly as the needle passes around about the 3k rpm mark and then continues on normally.

For the vast majority of the time, it's not there. Could it be a coil pack on it's way out?

I gather misfire counters are available via VCDS memory blocks so once I get the cable, I may have a look and see what shows up.

Plugs or coilpacks are the most usual causes, and if the plugs haven't been changed, that's the easiest place to start.......more noticeable on mapped cars,as Audi's long service schedule really doesn't suit the plugs.
