Seems there's no delay with VW vans, my T6.1 LWB has turned up this morning. It was only ordered mid-November....

Must depend what van you get. My T5 California is worth what we paid for it 5 years ago

I guess so, Listers don't seem to have a long waiting list for vans though.
It's much better than the T6, much nicer to drive. My only gripe so far is no ******** at the top end. Seems like the 6.1 engine has less usable torque. But it'll do, I can finally push the driver's seat back far enough so my knees clear the steering column.

I was in VW yesterday getting my MK7 R serviced and they said the new MK8 has a 12 month wait due to the chip shortage. Tempted to sell mine as demand is high but not sure what to get

Whatever you buy to replace your car will have its price overinflated too, so no real saving unless you are trading down.
