If you look that code up on Ross Tech's site it gives a full explanation of what it could be.
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/18693/P2261/008801

The text tells you all though. The PCV may be faulty but check the wiring to it first.

Also if it's the first scan clear it and see if it pops up as people don't always clear codes and it may or may not be relevant.

This one popped up at 36,100 miles so was that whilst it was in your ownership?

What sort of issues are you experiencing?

thanks for the reply, had a full diag now and its not the valve, the whole turbo charger is knackered:mad::(, so a new turbo and aux parts are needed, just another total parts failure with my car:(.

Sorry to hear that. Although I would have expected more errors for a turbo failure. We're you getting a lot of white smoke out of the back?

yes, just recently i could see smoke in my mirror when accelerating , not sure what colour but deffo smoke of some description, also the strange noise i could hear had been getting worse , louder and more often.

yep gary, its not an ideal situation just waiting to see what else is about to explode.....
I can safetly say gary, if anyone was going to the most problematic audi A4 B7 on the planet , it would be me.:(

Are you getting it replaced under warranty rob?

thankfully this failure is covered under the warranty and at £900 just for the turbo without the other fittings etc that are needed to go with it, i'm certainly glad it is covered,
if i had to get it sorted out of my own funds it would have waved goodbye to well over that figure in the end.

Well that's good then, so that's complete new power plant then just your gearbox to get under warranty now!

wow, dont wish that on me yet , the car is on borrowed time now as it is, if anything else happens is deffo leaving the building :(

So sorry to hear yet more troubles for you, but happy you have a warranty!
