Saw this thread on the A5OC and thought I'd investigate: Audi parking assist system - A5_OC Different modules on my A6, but found Park Assist as module 97. Only Short Coding available, but I changed the second bit from 0 to 2 and hit Do It! No Security code required. The coding was accepted, started car, engaged reverse, and the 'radar map' appeared on the MMI for the parking sensors! I don't have front sensors, so these won't magically work, but the rear sensors seem to work fine as half a APS+
Hi Andy Do you have a set of update codes for a new vcds user? I want to turn on a few things and need the codes to get started? Cheers Dave
I enabled this on mine last night works great. A6 dave there are loads of posts out there that help with the coding, but basically need to find parking assist module and add +2 to the second 0 from the left. This is the info i used and worked fine. Open Module [76] - Parking Aid Short Coding: 0?xxxxx: Optical Illustration 0 = without Optical Illustration in Display 2 = with Optical Illustration in Display May have been different module name but its easy enought to work out the correct module. Worked straight away and cant for the life of me understand why it isnt enabled on cars that have the ability "out of the factory"
Not all parking modules supported this function + it was a way to get customers to spend the extra money and buy the front sensors as was offered by default if you had front and rear. Got to love Audi and the options!
