VAGCOM code 01262

I have recently run a scan on my audi the results came back with error code 01262 (Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) 26-10 - Output Open - Intermittent)
I have had a look and apparantly it means there is a fault with the N75 valve, this is supposed to operate the wastegate for the turbo, I have read a few diy fixes on this and some are saying to replace the loom and plug to it as it gets worn by the excess heat... any ideas?

It might even just be the actual N75 itself. I would probably change that before condeming the wiring.

I know that you had that issue, i sent you the plug/wire iirc.

I spose i could stop being lazy and look up the testing details for the n75 and wires and post here......

Mine would come and go, you could clear it and it would be fine for a few miles, then it would drop out again, other times it would drop out immediately upon clearing the codes.

So i figured it was more likely the wires than the valve.

I had the same problem only last week,turned out to be the wires had broken just has they enter the connector to the n75,hard to see unless you pull back the sheaf on the plug.

Just replaced the valve, checked wiring... all good clean and undamaged. cleared the code... went out for a run in it... checked vagcom no faults... seems to be a little less smokey too.
