VAG COM help !!

Can anyone help me??!
I have an airbag warning light displayed.
I have just bought a VAG COM lead and software from eeeeebay but when i set it up it will not read my ECU. It says the device has stopped working. I have been told it is cause im using it with Vista.
does anyone know how to fix before i send it back.

put it in the bin and buy a genuine or have a look on here for the vagcom map for someone local to you to help you out, theres plenty on here more than willing to help
