2019 Audi Q3 FV 1.5TFSI Dash Camera Installation with Video in Motion!

While waiting on his new vehicle to arrive this owner decided to research dash cameras in order to give himself some peace of mind once he was able to drive around London in this rather nice Q3.

Wanting to be able to remove the camera when needed, but to also have parking modes, he sourced this Nextbase 522GW single channel front camera from a well know car related shop however chose us to install after seeing some of the orange companies so-called "professional fits" online.

VAG Car Coding™ completed a hardwired & directly fused installation of this camera, running all cables behind the vehicles trims and airbags while using the vehicles main earthing points and main supply box.

In order to activate the cameras parking modes a hardwire kit needed to be used. The camera will run off the vehicles battery while parked and the hardwire kit will shut down the camera to protect the vehicles starting ability once a pre-set voltage is reached.

£50 or £500, any dashcam is with its weight in gold during an incident or insurance claim! Get in touch!

2017 VW Golf mk7.5 1.5TDI GT Active Information Display Retrofit!

The owner of this vehicle purchased his brand new Active Information Display from someone in the midlands who seems to be knocking them out cheap with installation included within the price, but driving from Manchester to collect the unit and have the works done, on arrival he was informed that installation would be extra! After a back and forth the seller agreed to honour the original agreement however after a short time the owner was informed that the VW Group servers were down and no works can take place, see ya!

Wanting to get his new AID installed the owner contacted us before leaving the company he purchased the display from, drove down from the Midlands to see us in North London were we completed the installation with no issues as the servers in question had been up all day without issue!

VW Active Information Display retrofit, using vehicles original Delphi MIB2 media system = Done!

2016 Audi S8 4H Quattro Saloon Video in Motion Activation!

The owner of this @mrctuning modified Audi S8 monster was looking for a solution which would allow him to use 3rd party Navigation Applications and more from his Andriod phone, such as WAZE, via his Audi MMI3GPlus Media System. An Amazon Firestick, a few inexpensive cables and a Video in Motion activation later and he had a wireless mirroring solution!

2016 Volkswagen Golf MK7 R Lighting Retrofit & Coding Issues Fix!

The owner of this nicely themed Golf R went to a rather well known tuning & modification company for his mk7.5 rear LED lights retrofit & USA Daytime Running Lights Coding. What he actually got was cheap eBay, poor quality, incorrectly wired & indeed broken adaptor harnesses with massively incorrect coding that 1) rendered his vehicle not legal for UK roads as the rear lights did not work correctly plus a brake light was stuck on 2) caused him to have a number of flat batteries as the USA style DRL would remain on after locking the car….. all night!

Having already blown his budget we salvaged / repaired all the adaptor plugs & wiring instead of completing a factory style OEM installation. We then completed all needed coding for the rear lights & so USA DRL works correctly within in all switch positions and with the vehicle locked up!

There are a lot of people out there who fancy themselves as Retrofitters and Coders. Please do your research before choosing who to let loose on your vehicle!

2016 Audi A3 8V 1.6TDI Cabrio Virtual Cockpit Retrofit!

A rather nice retrofit / upgrade for this Audi A3 Cabrio Project car!

Purchased crash damaged from auction, the new owner of this vehicle has started a project / build now that the car has been fixed and put back on the road. First up an Audi Virtual Cockpit Retrofit with steering wheel buttons and cable preparation for an MIB2 Media System Installation.

A factory style retrofit of a Virtual Cockpit, using new parts, is very costly and time consuming but it is possible to fit used parts as long as 1) they are not stolen and 2) you don’t mind the indicated mileage being incorrect as mileage can only be matched when a brand new virtual cockpit is fitted. In order to spread the cost of the overall project the customer opted to install the Virtual Cockpit first and then return at a later date in order to install the needed MIB2 media system. Without the MIB2 no media, navigation or indeed telephone information will display within the Virtual Cockpit.

2014 Audi A7 4G 3.0TDI Sportback Quattro - Audi Smartphone Interface Activation!

With the release of the VW Group MIB Generation 2 Media Systems came the option to have Audi Smartphone Interface (ASI), which is Audi marketing speak for Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto, however Audi saw fit to place a restriction on which vehicles can be activated even if they have the needed equipment, and this A7 is a perfect example. Equipped with the needed MIB2 High media system activation is locked by VIN number on the VW Group servers. Image number 2 shows that this vehicle was manufactured 27/04/2014. Image 3 shows that ASI is only valid for A7 vehicles manufactured after 30/05/2016.

After consulting the customer he requested that we perform an "un-official" activation of ASI and all is working as per factory specification.

We are not like other "coding companies" which use remote services to do this, we manage this process from start to finish 100% IN HOUSE!

Trip up to see the guys at @colourkraft and @caffeineiscool 's nicely themed Huracan. This vehicle had been fitted with an AirRide system by another company but had some errors post the works. does it again! 2017 Audi TTRS 8S Audi Smartphone Interface Activation and much more!

A VAG Car Coding™ Advanced Coding Session for this Audi TTRS which saw the following works completed:

Activation of Audi Smartphone Interface in order to allow the owner to use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation Data updated from 2017/2018 to 2020/2021 and EU wide Speed Camera locations database installed. Video in Motion was also activated!

We then worked our magic on the vehicles suspension. Lowered on KW Springs, the Magnetic Ride system was never recalibrated. Calibrated from factory at an average of 367mm per corner this TT was actually sitting at 330mm per corner, a massive difference which meant that at any given time the Ride Control was supplying too much or indeed too little power to the dampers in order to keep the vehicle controlled. Incorrect calibration also causes safety systems to kick in and throttle back power! This TT now not only rides better but remains controlled under both heavy acceleration and breaking!

2015 Audi Q7 4M 3.0TDI Quattro Audi Smartphone Interface Activation and more!

A VAG Car Coding™ Advanced Coding Session for this Audi Q7 which saw the following works completed:

Activation of Audi Smartphone Interface in order to allow the owner to use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation Data updated from 2017/2018 to 2020/2021 and EU wide Speed Camera locations database installed. Video in Motion was also activated!

The owner of this vehicle has a jailbroken iPhone 11 Pro Max and is able to use apps which Apple CarPlay will normally not allow including YouTube!

The following modifications were also coded:

•Acoustic Alarm Tone on Lock
•Acoustic Alarm Tone on Unlock
•Acoustic Alarm Tone Toggle Menu
•Remote Key Fob Buttons active with Ignition
•Remote Key Fob Locking with Engine Running

does it again! 2017 Audi RS3 8V Sportback Magnetic Ride Calibration and more!

This vehicle popped down from Scotland to see both ourselves and @dougatmrc for software and performance works!

Lowered on KW Springs, the owner of this vehicle was never totally happy with the results and we very quickly worked out why! Whoever fitted these springs attempted to re-calibrate the system and did not know what they were doing, probably with non genuine software, and wiped all MagRide data from the vehicles controller! Average factory calibration for these cars is 360mm per corner, this RS had 0mm which meant that at any given time the Ride Control was supplying way too much or indeed way too little power to the dampers in order to keep the car controlled. Incorrect calibration also causes safety systems to kick in and throttle back power! Calibration completed this RS now rides correctly, all pogoing removed and remains controlled under cornering, heavy acceleration and breaking!

•Service Indicator Reset
•Seatbelt Warning Deactivated
