This part has started make a noise after the engine is turned off. The car runs fine and has no fault codes.
Is this a sign of something to come?

Which year & engine, as that sounds like the vacuum solenoid block used on bkd engines.

Best bet is to find 1 on eBay cheap & swap to see if it still overruns, more than likely would fix it, easiest & cheapest place to start.
