After the nightmare I've just had with the JOMs, I've bitten the bullet and ordered some V Maxx plus coilovers to replace them.

Anyone on here running them or have come across them?

Can't wait to get them on and start enjoying the car again, the past few weeks haven't been fun, hours spent in garages and going through money like water!

I know modding isn't ever plain sailing but I'd almost had enough!

Nate took me for a drive in his mates A4 running them on 19s with stretch and I was impressed at how smooth they were, we took them down some pretty rough streets and can't honestly say I found them uncomfortable at any point, a huge improvement over the standard setup

ive got the low spec v-maxx on mine and they are smooth as smooth peanut butter mate i was very happy with the ride on them im sure the plus will be even better than mine , ive got mine as low as they will go on the front and about 85% on the rear on 18's mate

Excellent cheers guys

Anyone else?

Fran, do u have spacers fitted on those 18's?

no i dont they are et45 wheels so they are far out enough on the front going to get a small spacer for the rear sometime , but the front's are bang on , they do catch rarely but thats only if i hit a bump mid corner other than that all good

Cheers Fran, think mine are ET54 but I got 10mm (front) and 15mm(back) spacers.

Had to take the 2 screws out of the back arch liners though.

@N8 cheers for that, got a great deal from DPM though, with me returning the JOMs.

I reckon the JOMs arn't bad. But I think the 3.2, with occupants, is too heavy for them.

What's the Price differences in v-maxx & JOM's ?

V maxx plus are height and damper adjustable,

V maxx, just height adjustable.

The JOMs are £200

V maxx roughly £420

Plus ones are roughly £620

I'm getting a set of V maxx of N8 so interested in feed back too

( cheaper than above though :p )

yep i got mine off n8 cheaper than that also , i love my v-maxx's they such quality made items for the price they are i think they are well up there with the best of them

Also, I see they come in two strutt sizes.... 50mm and 55mm.
Anyone know which size is needed for an 2006 FWD 2.0TFSI DSG??

your best off ringing audi then and they should be able to tell you exactly what yours are mate or a suspension specialist , weird tho i thought it would have been the smaller engine with the 50mm but there we go eh learn something new everyday lol
