Looking to buy new coilovers for my 1.8tfsi 8p wondered what the best kind to get is vmaxx or Ap which is better ride quiality
V-maxx or ap coilovers?

I want lows but with half decent ride quality i would get springs but they dont go that low

I'd say the AP is the more popular choice but both are good choices for a mid range kit.

I had V-maxx on my 8p for a year, I wish I had kept them!! The ride was pretty good for coilies and they went pretty low. I upgraded to the all singing, all dancing BC racing BR series, and even though they can do everything, go lower and offer more performance, they are not nearly as comfortable as the V-maxx, even with the softer springs they sold me...
No worries, I have no experience with the APs I'm afraid, they may be just as good or better...
AP is described as ideal for fast road use and most people say they are better than stock suspension.
Myself included, and I also think the ride is better than lowering springs.
