Hi my clutch and flywheel need replacing in my 2005 3.2, ive priced up for a new slave cylinder, clutch and flywheel and its come in at just shy of £500 brand new, or ive been offered used parts with a 28 day guarantee for £80, would you take the gamble?

Its £420 i could do without spending at the minute and ive been told the used clutch and flywheel are in great condition.

Is it worth doing for the money saved? Also does £300 for labour sound about right as thats what ive been quoted?

Thanks in advance :)

Waste of time. If the parts fail after 29 days then your paying for the same labour 2 times over. £300 labour is a bit steep mate. I paid £100 labour for mine and roughly £500-£600 in parts. I would fine the money mate and spend it for the simple piece of mind.

£300 is about right in labour from a reputable specialist if yours is quattro.

If your is a Quattro then I can't comment on prices mate. Mine was done by a vag specialist and they only charged me £100 labour. Ring around mate

£300 is steep you should be paying no more than £250 really but we know all garages charge differently. Don't buy second hand clutch either mate.

If the parts are in great condition I'd be wanting more than a 28 day warranty minimum 6 months, personally I'd pay up or you driving round thinking is it gonna go?
