hi guys

When I plug in a 32GB USB pen into the car via MMI cable it comes up as unrecognised and won't access it. It's formatted as FAT. I have tried wiping the pen/dongle and just putting 1 album of songs on it and still no joy. It once allowed it and I could play the songs and after a power off it doesn't work.

Is there a size limit on USB pen drives through mmi cable? A 2GB pen works fine.

Car is S3 2013

Thanks

Could be a size issue mate! I tried using the USB stick when I first got my car, but found it much easier to use the SD card.

Sorry, it's Fat32 not basic FAT.
Yes I may have to try a smaller USB pen drive and see if that works. The only SD cards I have are 2GB which is how I got the media onto the internal drive but had that issue of duplicating media with successive copies so I was trying a larger USB drive to copy all media in one go.

Try exFAT, I've got 128GB SDXC cards that work fine in my A4, hoping for the same in the S3.

I have a Pioneer 32gb pen drive working fine

Can't be a size thing as i have a 500gb hdd plugged in to mine with no issues.
