Urgent Help Please

Hi, I have just bought a Audi detatchable towbar made by Alko it is a genuine Audi one for a 2004 B6 Avant. I cannot get the towball to come out of the bar as I am not sure which way to turn the knob on the bar itself does anyone know how to do this or have any instructions?

well I'm a newbie so might not know what I am talking about re Audi but if your detachable towbar is like any other fitted to the VW's LR etc etc. When you put the key in you will either pull the knob out and twist or it may be a twist in the opposite direction.

If it's anything like the Bosal one i had fitted to my honda then it will only turn one way although it will probably be a bit stiff. you will also need the key in it to turn it as well!

Thnaks Guys, just looked in my Audi manual it says you must have the key also to release it. And guess what I did not buy it with a Key :-( Conatcted Cardiff Audi today they are going to try and get me a replacement as there is a number on the key hole part.
