Urgent help please :/

Basically when I got the car I had to top up so I topped it up with mobil1 0w40 but I checked before and its right on minimum so I really need to get oil asap I can't get hold of mobil1 0w40 local or Mobil all together so would it be OK to just top it up 1litre of castrol 0w30 as I can't seem to find castrol 0w40 anywhere! :/ its getting service just after Xmas!!?? Is 0w30 recommended?
Any please help, car is s3 2007 pre face lift and nope I don't have manual to look in!! Thanks

If you're only topping it up I'd say it'll be ok but get around to doing a full engine oil change soon with a new filter.

Thank yeh I will do but most prob around Xmas was going to do full service with extras

Yes this is used in Inspection Service intervals.
