Guys have a power steering leak and noticed the hose hose is missing from here Anyone know the hose have a part number even and where it goes to thanks
Oil should not be there. This is a sign of worn oil pressure seals Inside the steering body . You will probably find a similar pipe connector on the other side of the steering body as well. These are a drain pipe (if there is a leak)
agree with amiram. The pictures in your earlier post show lots of fluid at the tie rod boots. Probably time for a new steering rack. DIY doable, but PITA. Can be done alone, but helper is useful when wiggling the rack out.
ok the oil level was low and I topped it up So any idea what the hose is called or a part number thanks
Hi I was told by a mechanic that it would be about £400 to do a rack change I’ve never changed a rack I’m ok doing stuff if I watch a video tho I’ve done most stuff myself that way Do you agree with the mechanic he said engine would have to lifted out
For 400, I would have the work done. If 1000, diy. But check with another shop. The engine does not have to be pulled. You will need an alignment.
