Has anyone fitted an upper strut brace to their pre-facelift S3 - did it make much of a difference?

What kinda prices are these going for second hand? Does anyone know how much they are from the stealers?

I think this is the part number 8L9805629A. Sounds like from other forums that it's about £60 from the stealers?

Does anyone know if you have to mess around drilling holls in top mount to fit it on a pre-facelift S3?

I presume the pre-facelift has the lower struct brace, right?

Yes, I have one fitted to my 99 S3, and yes, you need to drill holes for it to fit. Did it make much difference to handling? I had Bilsteins and Eibachs fitted at the same time, so can't give an honest answer, as it handles better when I picked it up anyways.

Cheers, I've bilsteins and h&r's fitted already. But for £60, I think it's probably worth a shot. Bit of a pain about having to drill the holes though.

Did you go for an OEM S3 struct brace or an aftermarket one?

Would you need to get reallignment after fitting a strut brace?

Went for OEM one, and you need to drop the struts to fit one I think, but I don't think you will need a wheel allignment, unless the lower ball joints are disturbed?
