Upper front wheel arch screw

Hi all,

There's a screw at the top of the front wheel arch. Can I remove this without the lining falling out or having any problems, as I think my wheel is rubbing on it on full lock >10mph, so rather than raise the height I'd like to see if I can solve it by removing. If not I'll have to raise, but thought I'd ask first as I have had mixed opinions.

cheers. were your tyres catching it when turning full lock/almost full lock with a bit of speed?
