Upgraded brakes

Hi folks. Have a b8 170 Quattro tdi.

Just wondering is there any easy/not mad expensive brake upgrades available for these?

It has the ATE standard fronts on.
Had to change pads not long after buying it and the guy in the motor factors gave me 2 sets of pads.
Found out the other set is for TRW brakes.
These pads looked to have a bigger surface contact area than mine.
Anyone know if they also have a bigger disk?
Or any other upgrade worth looking into?

you can fit 345mm with s4 front calipers and carriers .. calipers are shared with the 3.0tdi but the carriers are the expensive part

What has the 3.0tdi got as standard?
Guessing it's a smaller disk?

Smaller disc on the 3.0 but calipers are the same. Just carrier and disc is different

Ah cool. Pretty much the same as the 288 and 312mm setups on the mk4 golf platform!
