Well for those who wanted to see my new transport...
(I know its the B6 section but hey, nothing wrong with an Update.....is there....)
Got tints done yesterday and gave it a good clean today though it didnt really need it.
Got few days off work so bleeding the brakes tomorrow as I dont think they are at their best then Miltek I reckon. Wheels are coming off for a refurb aswell.
Enjoying the machine so far :hubbahubba: soooo much fun.
Im on the Hunt for a B6 Avant aswell...

I know what you saying james, its like they've pumped an A4 full of steroids.
I also found out they have H&R Springs aswell which explains why the suspension feels stiffer than some I test drove.
 
You know what i'm gonna ask you mate...what % tints did you get? And was it the same dude you recommended me? I'm having to wait until i've moved house, and then get mine done.

Car looks so good though, the colour is amazing...really suits it. And A4 on steroids, couldn't agree more. :hubbahubba:

Oh and i'm sure you know that on a few of your pics yours and your mates reg are still on show. Just thought i'd let you know incase you hadn't realised. :detective2:
 
Yes mate I use the same guy all the time.This time I had 50% on the rears and the 2 fronts I went for 20%.
Some pics they look darker than what they are.

And with 50% how is it reversing at night/dusk time? You've seen the evidence that my wife cannot drive forwards, let alone in reverse and I don't want it making too much more difficult for her. ha
 
Yeah, i do wish it had rear parking sensors, but they aint a cheap retro-fit are they! Maybe i'll keep my eyes peeled for a bumper with the holes already.

If i wait long enough some bargains are bound to come up.

Cheers dude, Love the sound of the B7 Rs4, hold out for another year or so and they'll be flowing alot cheaper.

great stance!

not sure if the exhaust tips need to be a little bit more flush - otherwise it can start to look like a little bolt on "trumpet" and cheapen the whole look...

Aero wipers all around and clear corners for the cheap and subtle mods. I think turbo back and a map tweak from Doug see's you at around 450bhp IIRC, although that might be the 3" downs and no cats, can't remember but either way, healthy power and a good noise. Standard sound is pretty quite and refined I found, but still not sure whether to Mill it up. Lets see some pics of the interior too!!!

Exhaust tips - Hahaha, Ill just belt my foot down then they'll know its no Rep with the "cheapen"look. Im happy with the way it looks, after all it is the standard system and it will be coming off pretty soon anyway to make way for the turbo back system, Bring it on!!

Marc1 - Yes mate, got them up after its first clean. As mentioned im looking into the turbo back system, got a quote from a company that does exactly the same as Blueflame so weighing it up. Im going to see Doug for another health check by myself, its had one in early May but I want reassurance. I love the sound but just want something a little Deeper and throaty without going to silly. Ill get the interior pics updated to the thread.They look mint in that link...

Lol, just looking back over the pictures, it's making me want to leave work and go for a good drive! Your photography is good, shows the cars aggressive stance. Keep us posted with the progress mate.

Its the fastest thing ive drove, torque is just amazing and its great driving something thats not too in your face. Just need to lay off with the Led foot for a bit, £40 Vpower gave me 112mls before the "beeeep" came back on - Interesting driving though.:cool:

....its an Rs4 what you expect, well worth the dollar and they dont depreciate like your everyday car. Drive one and you'll see...

Raced Porsches/Ferrari 360s/TVRs (Cerbera and Tuscan)/M3 & 5 - nothing could touch the RS4 - and I was loaded up with camping gear/mountain bike etc etc...

Re the exhaust - don't go with the Wagner's. If you're going 3" DP, they've got to be either the MRC/Milltek ones (c£1k fitted), or a Custom set (cheaper). You're quote for the Custom turbo-back system sounds like a no-brainer to me...

To be fair the Noggy is the nicest colour IMO. But I couldn't say no to the Avus as it was sooooooo cheap. Any colour would have done me to be honest.

Yep on SRS too, not many posts TBH, just been reading an awful lot, and have been visiting Grizz and Lee at Unit 20 (far to often for my liking to be honest, but that's something I may take up with the 'expert' I bought it from).

Mine's stock, just did the Hotchkis ARB's, RS2 droplinks and ITG filter, everything else I've done has just been cosmetic and nice to have's. I did buy a stock one purposfully though and intended to keep it that way as there's not that many anymore. We will see though, that turboback with sports cats price Juss has got is amazing, so time will tell on that one and I've already thought about a sneaky visit to Doug for a map. :ohmy:

Yeah I know, maybe the mods can move this to the B5 section hey, dont wanna upset the Boyz cloggin their B6 forum up, mind you I should be back on here late summer with my B6 avant project, missed out on a salvage last week due to being away in the sticks working my *** off.

My oil gets up to 90 ish, little bit less usually on the dial but im reading thats fine on the 246/srs....hope it is anyway, Brakes and interior coming up dude....:icon_thumright:
..oh and ill be breaking contact with stoaksey if he carrys on pm'in me Porn...have you seen what he's got, makes me wanna go out and spend a few!:undwech:
 
Yeah forgot you'd won the lotto mate! Be good to see the B6 Avant transformation.

Not seen Stoaksey's plans, but I can imagine they won't be low key mods:eyebrows:, there's definately got to be more power involved and something for an even meaner look I suspect. I'm not sure I want to see though, you know what he has 'made' us both do so far...
