Ive recently brought an 2003 A3 2.0 fsi sport and have had an unusual noise coming from the rear left tyre.
It sounds like the bearing was going as the noise started around 30+mph and gets faster as you speed up. After taking it back to the garage they assured me that the wheel bearing was fine and told me they swapped the left side front/rear tyres over.
The rear of the car is now completely silent but the noise has moved to the front left.
I expect to hear tire noise due to the sport tyres/suspension, the noise from the other tyres is quiet & doesn't bother me.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be?
My car has Dunlop SP Sport 9090's all round with good tread.
Cheers
Jake
