under carpet heating?

Can't imagine that using underfloor heating in a carpeted room is an especially good idea. Electrical fault+carpet=bad news!

Always fancied it in a bathroom though!

Seriously, i think warming a floor with electircal heating will cost more than using the GCH tbh
 
Underfloor heating is brilliant...as for undercarpet heating...seems a bit low rent and has burnt down house written all over it...i wouldnt buy it for same reason as i wouldnt have a leccy blanket

underfloor heating that is piped to the central heating is bang on , never been a fan of the electric underfloor heating as it used to be so expensive to run. When I looked a few years back it was 0.5 kw a square meter iirc.
 
i lay loads of undertile heating and from memory once upto temp that normally costs something like 1p per hour per m2 or something like that, i have it on the kitchen tiles and it is lovely in the winter but switched off for 6 months of the year!!!
 
Few... I thought that this thread was about putting under-carpet heating in your car!
