Due to the situation in Bahrain the F1 season opener is cancelled - makes the day much easier for me!

Me to mate, just a shame we have to wait longer!

Will be there now the race is cancelled. There a convoy? I'll be going up M6 and then M54.

Tickets will be sent out a week prior to the event according to the website.

Hey guys, previously we did not have enough peeps to actually book a club stand unfortunately - so.......

For everyone that is still going we could either collectively meet up there (meet / greet etc) or if you wish we could all meet up beforehand and convoy along together. I have not been to UD before so I would need some suggestions of a meeting point from someone if thats what people would prefer to do!

I've heard that there have been long ques / traffic to get to this show and personally speaking, I'm not one for sitting in traffic jams so I intend to get there fairly early, probably find a local Mac D's and grab some brekki first (this could be a good meeting point if anyone wants to do the same?)

I have reviewed the UD site and I can't seem to find a start time so I was going to aim to be parked up for 8am.

Post your thoughts / ideas and lets see what we can do guys!

Having just looked at the route may I suggest the TELFORD SERVICE STATION on the M54 as a meeting point? This is only 3-4 miles from the venue.

Im not too sure, ive looked but cant find anything i'm looking at getting there for 8ish to try and avoid some of the traffic. Are you going straight there mate?

Yeah I think so, its 1 hour 40 roughly from Manchester, wanted to find out when the doors open so can work out what time to set off.

Will be coming down in my mates Type R Sorry guys, but he is looking at changing for an A3/A4!

should be able to money allowing. im a bit overloaded it seems everything is coming at once. i have to do a training course for work next week in cheshire which i have to pay for my expenses then claim em back. wont get the money back til the following month so it leaves me short. then fuel etc for this trip also.

hmm should be ok though will ask sarah to help with fuel seeing as she wants to go lol

Yeah theres free parking there and you can still pay on the door, not too sure how much it is though!

UPDATE.

The car park opens at 8am.

The show begins at 9am.

History suggests that there will be que's - I would suggest we should make a conscious effort to leave the service station at around 7:30ish to ensure we can get some decent parking spaces in the car park and better placed within the que - and it will give us chance to meet and greet etc.

There is a few guys on here that will have their cars on show inside, probably the most noted will be Nathan (N8) so make sure you give him / them a shout when you see there cars!

If anyone is strugling with the times etc but still wants to catch up then just give me a shout and we'll try and sort something out!

Drive carefully and have a safe journey and see you at the services 7:30 sharpish!

PS. Don't go round telling other people that your meeting guys in a motorway service station car park in the early hours otherwise you may get funny looks!!
