Pirelli P-Zero from factory, switched to Goodyear Eagle F1 they were quieter, improved fuel economy and have good rim protection

FYI I am running 255/35/20

On my 2nd set of UniRoyal RainSport 3's; best value for money tyre

I've had UniRoyals
Michelins
Goodyear Eagle F1
Back to UniRoyals

Michelins lasted less than the UniRoyals and were TWICE the price. In terms of outright performance the Goodyear's have been the best but were still £150 more expensive than the UniRoyal's fitted.

I'm running 255/40/19's BTW

I know I'll be shot down, but I'm running the new Landsails on my A7 and I honestly can't fault them. Wet and dry they seem to stick like the proverbial '****' !
£85 ish for my 19's.

me too - and very much quieter, noticed on my recent set the rim protection is quite chunky and much bigger than i recall on earlier versions

Is there any road noise with the Uniroyals? I have Pirellis on at present and they are a bit noisy.

I’m having 4 x Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S fitted at lunchtime today. Once they’ve got nice & grippy, I’ll report back with how I find them.

Very impressed with the PS4S’s so far, in the wet at least. Roads have been pretty wet & floods in areas and the car has been very sure footed. Gave it some welly around wet roundabouts & it felt planted. No noticeable difference in noise - maybe a shade louder than the P Zero’s, but so insignificant that I’m not sure if I’m imagining it. Highly recommended so far!

Got Rainsport 3's. and before that Falken 453's. I'd the say the RS3's are overall better but the 453's are better in the dry.

Useful idiot
Dunlop SP sport maxx GT in 255/35 R20.
Great grip, but best tyres I’ve used in past were the Michelin PS4, wonderful tyre but do lose thread fast if drive through corners hard.

Does anyone still buy Dunlops ?
They all seem to delaminate/split on the insides.
Loads on the internet about them.
Amazed they are still selling them.
I wouldn't touch them!
