Hi, have any of you used an 87 load index or is ithat a no no just as the car is not that heavy .

The original 225/35 Continentals for the RS3 had an 88Y load index but the front 235/35 had a 91Y load index: see photo of Audi 8P RS3 tyre sizes and pressures and Load Index chart:

I now run 91Y front and rear and on both summer (255/30 and 235/35 front/rear MPSS) and winter (235/35 front and rear Vredestein Wintrac) tyres.

Personally I'd always fit the best tyres available for my own use; tyres, after all, are your only contact with the road.
