Tyre size for 20” alloys

I’ve currently got 19” Le Mans alloys on my A6 Avant. The tyre sizes are 255/35/19. I feel that 20” Peelers would look better and fill the arches more but what type profile should I go for? Should I stick with 35 or go 30?

To keep the speedo correct you’ll be looking at a 255/30 tyre - on the limit of back breaking there!

would you not consider lowering springs instead?

I'm happy with the ride height and had 19's on my a4 and a5 but on the a6 they look too small. What do you mean by the limit of back breaking? would 35's rub the arches then?

Yeah its a good site to look at different alloy dimensions. I know they will fit but its whether 35's will rub the arches or not on standard suspension

Sorry I looked again and if I use 9J 45ET it says they will only be 12.7mm bigger
