hi guys i have a 06 3.2 i run 40psi all round is this to much.

Are you on standard wheels and tyres?

I think it is rather high but check out the suggested tyre pressures on in the inside of your fuel cap

yep 225/40/18 5 spoke rs4/6 alloys

My fuel flap for a 2004 2wd 3dr 2.0TDi S-Line fitted with the same wheels and tyres says 33psi front and 30psi rear for the 18" wheels.... (different for the 16 & 17" options...)

My 1.4T 2009 Sportback courtesy car says 38 front 33 rear for the 18" wheels......

Wow , yeah 40 is a tad too much i think.

On my 1.4TFSi i`m running 33-32 all around

Had a look around the showroom this afternoon when I collected my car from service and every A3 from the 1.4T 3-door to the S3 said 38F 33R for the 18" wheels (and more for fully loaded).

I can only conclude that Audi have revised their recomentations since my car was built in 2004, so I've upped my pressures tonight from the 33/30 on my fuel flap to the 38/33 on the current models....

I use 37 front, 33 rear, mainly driving solo at moderate speed, all feels good.

Ive got 39 front and 33 rear. Im guessing the pressures vary between 4wd and 2wd
