tyre pressures

So, I feel my s3 has a sloppy back end.
Shifting at higher speeds, lifting off / reducing throttle and going over to the brakes even at moderate speeds, around town in a spirited manner, it feels very close to say lift off over steer.

Today I popped into work and checked the tyre pressures.
NSF was 52psi!
The rest were 35 psi.

I've set them all to 35 now and I will adjust as to how I feel suited best, but does anyone else think this on theirs or done anything to over come it? I'm aware this doesn't conform with the label on my b pillar BTW.

Oh. It's only done 600 miles. That nsf was 52psi at collection day clearly!

I want to spend a little money on her anyway, in the lines of 25mm springs.

35psi is well below recommended.

Fronts range is 38 - 42 psi
Rears range is 33 - 43 psi

Or thereabouts.

Have mine as 39 front and 38 back

52 is the magic number!

I was amazed to see recommended psi for fronts and rears when I tracked it. I dropped all by 3-4psi.
Luckily mine were all on point from Audi

I have the same on my 19" set up and it seems a good balance between comfort and handling...

I thought front wheel drive cars always understeered - is this the kind of wet handling everyone is looking for:

I'm sure he'd claim that was deliberate but I've seen a couple of cars in the ditch next to this roundabout and always been curious as to how it happens...

You can make the 8V S3 lift off oversteer very easily (even at slow speeds on a bone dry roundabout), Audi wanted to make the car more "playful" - the result is that you can do this much easier than in the previous 8P S3.
