i was told by a vauxhall astra gtc driver that on the turbo theres like a tiny nut on it and if you turn it gradually, but not too much in one go or it will blow the turbo up then it tunes the turbo and makes it quicker the car - now i dont trust vauxhall astra drivers and ive not heard of that before has anyone else heard of it

He's on about the actuator, increasing pre-load by turning it up can help with power, but without a map to suit it's pointless and dangerous.

I came from the Vauxhall (VXR) scene and there is some plebs about.

he didnt say anything about the actuator, basically your saying dont do it, good job I asked the question

The actuator has a threaded rod which connects to the wastegate, nuts are in place either side to retain the position on the wastegate. He means them nuts.

Amateurs should never even think about touching the actuator unless they want turbo to blow

Also astra driver giving audi advice just say keep it to yourself lol
