Hi all, I’ve got a 2009 TT 2.0 TDi with a CR170 engine, bought it dirt cheap with a suspected head issue which turned out not to be the case so I’m glad about that. The car boosts very hard, I know it’s stage 1 tuned but it seems to pull harder than my 270HP S3.
Next issue down the line is the whine that’s coming from the turbo, previous owner said he replaced the turbo not long ago, told this to my mechanic and he suggested that maybe the turbo actuator isn’t adjusted properly so now my question is as follows, would an incorrectly set actuator cause a turbo to whine and if I get it adjusted will it tone down the whine as it sounds like a hoover.
