Hi any input / help would be much appreciated. We recently purchased an 2012 TTS from Audi under Audi approved. We travelled to pick the car up as it was not at our local Audi dealer. As part of the checks to the car they replaced the amplifier on the Bose sound system. We have an older 2006 A3 Quattro sline which also has a Bose system in it. When we picked the car up the up the sound system had very little bass compared to the A3 and was pretty quiet. The TTS had to go to our local Audi dealer for a small repair under warranty and I asked they check that the amp had been replaced as promised. When they checked the amp they advised it has been replaced as best they could see but it had not been coded to the car (What does codes to the car actually mean?)?The system now sounds far better but the overall volume and bass level are no where near the A3. Is it the case that the system on the TTS should sound quieter than the A3 or is there potentially and issue with the system, are there possibly setting on the amp that need turned up? I have the bass treble up on the head unit.
