Hi all,

I have done a quick search but couldn't find answer.

I am changing discs and pads along with a sticky calliper to the rear of the car. Before i strip it all down and realise i don't have the correct tools etc do i need to remove the callipet carrier before taking disc off? Looks like carrier bolts onto rear of hub but i don't have the star head type socket to remove these.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Cheers
Andy

if its the same as the 8P then in short yes, they should be a 14mm spline tool (halfrauds do a (7 piece from memory) set) most sets usually don't go upto that size that I have seen

I second that if its similar to the 8P RS 3 you'll need an M14 spline socket and I short one at that, not a lot of room on the top bolt.

when I had mine off I managed to do it with the M14 spline tool, a universal joint then a 12" extension for the top one and a 6" for the lower one then get as long of a bar/breaker bar as possible, it's probably easier to do on the drivers side as your pulling rather than pushing to un-do
