    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if this is possible on an A3?

I coded it on my Octavia, so if you open the boot via the middle button on fob (the rest of the car remains locked) then put your keys in the boot and accidentally close it you will have about 30 seconds to reopen before it automatically locks again.

This is the coding I used from the guys over at Briskoda.net

    Enable trunk lid lock delay

This will enable the delay on locking the trunk lid when opened from the remote when the car is locked. So, if you shut the trunk and then realise you have left the keys in the boot it doesn't lock straight away, you have about 27 seconds (thanks @mberger for timing it) to open it again before it locks.

    Controller 09

    16 - Security Access - enter 31347

    10 - Adaptations

Change (26)-Access control-Freigabenachlauf Heck nach Einzeloeffnung ueber HDF-Funktaster to active

Anyone tried this on a 8V, I think most thinks are very similar to the Mk3 octavia.

I would have posted this in the VCDS thread.

Not tested this myself. Code it on your car, one key in the boot and other key safe / out of range, test = your answer.

I don't have an A3, want to see if anyone else has tried it before I do it on my dad's car. I don't mind testing stuff on my own car but wouldn't do it to someone else's

But you don’t mind “someone else” testing it on their car for you? Test on your fathers car is the same as one of us doing it.

If it works then happy days, if not then reverse your coding and post your results to the benefit of the forum.

There is a big difference between me asking for someone to test it on their car and asking if anyone has already tried it. I would never ask anyone to try out untested coding changes. I was simply asking if it has been tried before.

This works. Tested on a FL 2017 S3 Sportback and 2019 Q2 with electric tailgate. Worked on both.

I didn't time how long it takes for it to lock again.
