troubleshooting slight knocking

i was sat in the car park about to leave work yesterday and i was moving my steering wheel slightly left and right while stationary. as i was doing so it was knocking.

its also the same when driving (londons terrible roads) slightly knocking. it feels like it's not solid if that makes any sense like there's play from the steering wheel to the wheels.

any idea what this is or where i.should look? after reading about Im assuming its top mounts or bushes or something of that nature but Im not sure so thought i'd ask.

Could be bushes, mounts or even something like a missing/sheared off suspension bolts.

Pin point exact location by having a passenger sit in the car whilst it's happening.
