Trip computer miles left in tank

Hi,

Maybe a daft question but does anyone know why the estimated mileage is no where near what I actually get? Say for example 300 miles left in tank, I'm maybe getting 200 at best! Surely it should be more accurate than this? My old Renault Laguna was super accurate

It depends when you look, since it is based on the current or avg. MPG
I've seen my miles left increase during a journey

As above depends how you drive, your mpg is never going to be the same over the 300 miles there for the range will change to suit
