Tried A Short Shifter ?

Came cross this the other day. I used to have one on my old car it was great bita kit. Just wondering if anyone has one on their A3.

I know the S3 has a diff kit.

I have a cheapo one from ebay - well, I say should of been cheapo at £59 delivered, but I won it for 99p.

Hmmmm, that doesn't look like a short shift for the 1.8T IMO.

yeah i thought that to mate,so who makes one for a 1.8T AGU on 1998 year?

 

Exactly the same as above. Got one on my S3. (Shortened throw ie: Up+ down)

OK, not sure on where you can buy one off the shelf, but you can fit the TT Shifter which gives you a shorter gear throw. It's just not adjustable.

Am I reading this correctly, will the selector from a MK4 R32 fit an 8L S3 and reduce the throw all for the princely sum of £25...? Or am I confused....

 

I cant work it out ether bud ?

 

As I read it (from the thread on the above link) the R32 shifter would work

To be fair, for £25 it's certainly worth a go
