Certainly don't have it done at Audi; not at their labour rates. Best off taking it to a reputable independent specialist. Where in London are you?

Also, how many miles has the car done, and has it had the gearbox oil changed before now?

Im in se24 tbh ive only had the car since august and up until now had nothing but hassle with it, cut a long story short its just had a new gearbox control module fitted but they didnt renew tranny fluid, its done 67k as for last oil change I haven't got a clue thanks for the replies folks

CVTs should have their gear oil and filter changed every 40k.

I was told that as its "long life" fluid it has to be put in under pressure or have I just been waffled to? Sorry if I seem a tad vacant but im a carpenter and havent really got a clue with mechanics etc thanks again ;)

If you're in SE London, I can recommend Sanspeed in Standard Road, Bexleyheath. They did a CVT oil change on my old B6 for about £160, although that was about five years ago. Call them up and ask for Jason Tolan, the service manager.

Lol I was gonna take it to sanspeed after I had it serviced, I didnt realise that they done that kinda thing there too :p

There's not much they don't do. I've just got mine back from having a change of ATF in the supposedly "sealed for life" ZF Tiptronic gearbox on my 3.0TDi Quattro.

Gonna get on the fone to them in the morning I think, cant take any chance of the gearbox packing in been told theyre about 5k to replace, again I dont know if its waffle

As far as i know you need a special tool to change oil on cvt multitronic .I paid £150 on mine by a local ini in Cardiff.

Not a decent garage that I know of around me tbh, ive been reading on here and seen that nigel (NHN) does repairs etc have sent him a pm regarding servicing ;)

Ask about mate, as in London there is probably loads. I did not think there was many in Cardiff and turns out there is like 5 decent ones. I only knew this after my oil change, but i am lucky to find someone mobile and who has just left Audi after 11 years :)

I thought you were going to take it to Sanspeed. :uhm:

Even if they didn't suit you for any reason, there's 4 Rings at Dartford.

I was going to take it sanspeed, I rang them 4 times for a quote and was told someone would call me back but never did so I thought sod ya then lol
I didnt know about the dartford place
