Trailer Fault Code

The below fault code keeps coming up for the trailer module.
I thought I got rid of it by changing the coding from 0000001 to 001001.

But its back again.

I've checked the cables around the module up in to the battery area and it all appears to be ok.

Anyone came across this before or got any ideas?

2006, A8 D3 with the 3.0 TDI engine.
The towbar is factory fit and the light board works fine, no errors on the dash and it engaged trailer mode when plugged in.

Terminal 30 is live?

Its shorting to it self?

I would pull fuses & check for continuity across the 30's, you could always disconnect them, run a temp separate feed to both terminals & see if the issue returns, I do wonder if 2 wires have got a tad warm, covering melted a tiny bit & are shorting intermittently, speculative, could even be a pcb track issue, only one way to know.
