I get really irked by people like Archie Hamilton, just watching this video and he says 'I didn't even notice it has these vents' (referring to the ones behind the front wheels. Do these people actually appreciate what they're buying? Facepalm.
I’m sure some do, but it’s also income to them I guess. Still ridiculous he doesn’t know anything about the car he’s got on order…

Yep… crazy. Been told by my previous sales chap that if you looked at it you’d think it’s completed but it’s actually still waiting to be finished off… it’s been that way for 3 months now…
That’s a question I’ve wondered too - paintwork is likely going to be a mess…
If only my dealership would/could do anything to usher it along.
It really doesn’t make sense why it’s not moved yet. No justification provided by Audi or my dealership either, it’s just there still.
Lack of comms is pretty frustrating - I keep going back and forth between being patient and sitting back vs going and having a rant
Ultimately neither approach will achieve anything.

Because he changes cars every 5 seconds. He ordered his in Mythos Black, and on one video said never heard of this colour before…wtf!

I note this press embargo mentioned above - I wish I could film my video and get it out before everyone else but that seems unlikely; I mean it will be out on Monday but it will be late evening by the time I have filmed it and edited it (and I imagine that embargo is early in the day).
If you follow Joe Achillie's Insta, he has a highlights part on his profile dedicated to the new RS3 and his trip with it. Lots of cool pics and a juicy cold start with valves open.

If you don't like my videos then thats your choice but I started the RS3 journey and I will continue it and eventually it will be my own new car.

I wonder if thats why mine has jumped from W 16->W 8->W 49? maybe its built and parts are due to arrive earlier than expected.Yep… crazy. I also don't (well I do) understand why people arent getting their cars and yet Dealers seem to be selling 'other' cars without offering them to people on the waiting lists? just greed I guess.
At this moment in time if I was an Audi dealer I would be ordering more RS3's and telling everyone 'your car is delayed' and selling them for £70k until the hype has died down, good business sense
Joe Achilles gave a good balanced test on the Golf 8R, pointed out what he didnt like and what he did like, I think the reason I say that is after I had 2 x Golf8R demos for around 4 hours in total Joe Achilles said just about exactly what I thought as well..............................which is why i'm here and not thereAh I missed the hashtag… encouraging.

With other car builds coming forward I am hopeful it’s a sign mine will progress soon.
If they have parts for other cars to get going then surely mine should be moving too.
I don’t know the detail but I would assume dealers could only order a certain number of cars for themselves without needing a customer to allocate them to at the point of order.
If they could do it I’m sure they would be and may be doing it already…

I think you've said the right things here, but unfortunately against the wrong person. These words should be directed at another that hasn't said one good word about the RS3 since the start of this sub forum pretty much every post they make, yet sold a car they absolutely loved to buy one ultimately trolling themselves lmao, but still makes your eyes bleed to see it every post.

Exactly mate.
Can the valves be opened before engine start by cycling the modes? For example, ignition on > cycle back to dynamic or RS modes, then start. Does this start with valves open or must it be done after start.
You could’ve been ahead of the pack,
Booked a Dyno session then you could’ve been the first to have figures for the standard new car.
Also could’ve got it on a ramp and did a tour of the underside, see the new torque vector diff and any visual differences, in chassis components, exhaust etc…….

Both are very good ideas, that would certainly have made for some original content. I think anything you do as an owner that might be relevant such as the valves thing above, how to put it in manual shift (doesn’t seem to be an option on the gear selector), any infotainment stuff folk might not already know about, (dare I say) fuel economy on a dual carriageway/motorway? Acceleration side by side with the OPF 8V to see the difference?
