Track rod inner ends very tight!

Tried removing one of my track rods from the steering rack with a 15" adjustable and no luck. Presume i need heat? Anyone else struggled to get these off? (Its on a 99 S3 APY)

Some power steering fluid then leaked from the rack and now makes a a slight noise when i first turn the wheel in the morning. Some jobs you wish you'd never started!!

There's a tool you can use that gives you leverage, A3Lee managed to change mine on axle stands out the back of my shop one evening.

Thanks for the replies guys, after 8 years of avoiding a garage with my old S3 I gave in and have taken it in. Fairly sure it needs heat to get it off. Going to a garage pains me!
