You need to know what you have....wiring a control or trailer detection module will be completely different from wiring a bypass relay. Trailer detection modules should come with installation instructions. Bypass relays are generic and you should be able to find wiring info online.

I have a bypass relay and a bag of scotch clips that came with it. I was just looking to see if i could find a wiring diagram that shows which wires run to the lights from the control module and i could connect the scotch clips to them.

    Hi Andy
I have just installed my bypass relay using the information from above link. It was a lot easier to do than I thought. All the connections you need are behind the right hand side cover in the boot. There is a block connector which has all the wires you need including the left hand indicator, there is a power there which you can take a fused power from (mine was the brown plug)
    Happy wiring

Can you point out the block connector you refer to? I'm about to wire a relay module to my 2010 A6 C6 Avant and the more info I have beforehand the better!
