Today's Antics at Badger5

So had a long trip from Wakefield to Badger5 this morning. Arrived at 9:30 to be greeted by Bill and Paul.

Well car had the following mods going in...
Standard K04
Superchip SPS stage 1 Remap
Relentless V3 Manifold and Downpipe
Custom Decat
Milltek CATback
B5 V2.2 TIP with JR Filter
Forge 008
TFSI Coils
Custom Toyosport Cooler
Fresh new genuine Fuel Pump
And a few other things that would help.
Mileage 150k

So after asking Bill for a new JR filter, Paul kindly fitted it then to proceed ahead with pre mapping run....



Fairly shocked to get 285.7bhp as I was expecting 260-270

So.... I took down 4 new Bosch 550 Injectors which again Paul fitted in no time.

Then back on with the runs with some Badger5 magic....



Glowing V3 Manifold







So first mapped run was 294.... Bill then did some more tweaking.....

And managed to squeeze 302.8bhp with 287.7ibft of torque. That's with No WMI and (cough cough) standard Rods.
After considering my Rods, Bill adjusted a few parameters to keep things safe.

And ended up with 297.7bhp with 270 badger torques....



Overwhelmed with the results.

Yes I know WMI would of benefited along with the piece of mind of some Forged Rods.
Bill and Paul reckon it's definitely one strong old engine.... A rare gem.... Lol

A big Thanks to Bill and Paul for the whole experience.
Trip home was fantastic. Didn't disappoint me. Some more power but alot more mid range and a more stronger pull in every gear.....

Yes pal..... Very comical drive home.

More than impressed with the results. I knew it was a good engine but not that much and Bill just proved it....

WMI is on the cards within next few months.... Eying up the kits now... Lol

Pop along to the next monthly meet which is the first Wednesday of May. Check out Yorkshire and Humberside Region section.

I drove from Wakefield which wasn't to bad... Roughly 3hrs but worth the distance and money going.

I can't recommend any other place. Superb service and experience

I'm sure once you get it out, some of than Fusso supplied by Jackie Chan will have it shining again.... Lol.... Hahaha
