Timing belt, water pump and auxiliary water pump in/near London

Hi all,

So moved to London a few weeks back, first thing the aux. pump failed on my 2009 A3 2.0 TDi CR170, I got a free diagnostic check after an orange dash light came on but not using the car at moment so hasn't been changed yet and also need cambelt doing.

Not knowing any garages up here, booked into West London Audi Synter Group for cambelt and water pump @ £555 all in and then extra to re-diagnose the pump fault and rape me for parts..

Is that a fair price for this car? Can anyone recommend another reputable garage for a second quote?

Hope someone can help, there are a lot of garages or specialists that I'd rather give my money to instead but like to have peoples recommendations, always means more to me.

Hi mate, I used the garage below for my DSG Oil\Filter change last year, they quoted half the main dealer price and didn't charge a penny over their quote! My own Cambelt & Water Pump are due soon, so I'll be contacting them again shortly

I also use these guys for my A3 and my wife's Dad also takes his A8 there. They are very good.

Speak to Dean. Can't recommend this guy highly enough. He was an Audi master tech for about 15 years. He is based in Kent but will travel all over London.
He will come to your home or work or you can go to his garage.
Very very reasonably priced and only used genuine vag parts.
Many here gave used him now and have nothing but good words about the bloke.

I also take my A3 to Russell Automotive Centre.......Very good and have used them for the last 5 to 6 years.
