Timing Belt Kit

Hi whoever reads this i am looking for opinions on timing belt kits contitech any good? Any other recommendations greatly appreciated also crankshaft camshaft seals difficulty involved thanks in advance MPH

Hi there I fitted the make kit you mentioned above purely as I ordered a gates kit on eBay but sadly was sent the wrong kit after my car was stripped so bought the Congo tech belt kit ran this for some 60,000 no issues before I sold my car. Oh I also changed the water pump as well . This was on my 2006 1.9 tdi Passat a few years back. Took me 4 hours to do. It saved me £300 in labour garage costs. Got the belt and water pump for £100 had anti freeze anyway. This was for the BXE engine code. Hope that helps mate.

i fitted a contitech belt a few years ago along with a hepu waterpump (metal impellor, I didnt replace the tensioners then, but will definately replace it on the next cambelt change
