Timing belt 59 plate S3 50k miles

I've been told by an independent and a main dealer, it's 5 years or 75k miles. (61 plate car)

Best get it booked in, mines a 59 plate on 50k.

Mines a 59 plate on 57k bought 3 months ago approved used. Not sure if it's been done tbh, but should that have been done pre sale if needed?

Hi mine is June 2009 1.9tdie sport 36.900 miles bought from Audi approved. It was serviced prior to purchase, when I looked at the car noticed the cambelt had not been done so asked them to do it, no arguments they did it saving me £600 as I had them do the water pump at the same time, definitive its 5 years or 75,000 miles which ever comes first.

According to the service book, it just says "toothed belt 114k miles", no mention of a time frame?

Bought mine on 37k from Audi and they did it for me.

It never even crossed my mind to ask as I'm used to having cars with timing chains!
Can't see them wanting to do mine now, sounds like its due next month:(
So glad I spent the money on a stage 2 remap today before I found a use for it lol:rockwoot:

Mines is 59 plate only had 20000 on clock but I got mine done as it's not just milage it's age aswell and I got it done before i went stage 2 plus would rather spend 300/400 ££ than than something maybe going wrong, I got the whole kit done tensioners, water pump done garage I use doesn't do just the belt so watch out you ain't just getting thre belt done for alot of ££ as I've heard some garages do this I use a vag specialist for all my work

Got a quote from my local Audi dealer,£549 inc water pump.
I have a good relationship with my local vw garage so I may try them although the car has a full Audi history and that helps if any goodwill is sought in the future.
