Ticking noise 1.8tfsi

Hi guys for the last few days I have noticed a ticking noise coming from engine at idle.any suggestions

Can you pin point the area where the ticking is coming from?

It’s more to the left side airbox but I have. A feeling from the timming chain on right

What year of car do you have? Ticking could be timing chain or HPFP if you have E888 engine commonly called a TSi. I have the 2.0litre version and changed the complete chain kit and tensioner at 42000 miles as a precaution.
lots of these engines across VW, Skoda, SEAT have self destructed early in life and there’s many threads about it in the VAG forums.

could be hpFp as I have a very bad fuel consumption in city and not the best of pick up at times, gona show it to my mechanic tomorow.
